The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation has issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to airline Fly Bosnia, in accordance with the relevant procedure, having applied the provisions of Articles 15 and 93 of the Aviation Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and pursuant to the Rulebook establishing technical requirements and administrative procedures relating to flight operations. With the issuance of the AOC and its related solution, the operator of Fly Bosnia is authorized to perform commercial air transport operations of passengers, goods and mail.

Issuance of an Air Operator Certificate is one of the most complex processes and procedures implemented by the BHDCA. In line with its responsibilities, the BHDCA offered a great deal of support, assistance and understanding to Fly Bosnia in their efforts to fulfil all of the prescribed requirements for issuance of an Air Operator Certificate and to commence operations.

In the words of the BHDCA's acting Director General, Mr Željko Travar, issuance of an AOC and commencement of operations are very important milestones for an airline and the relevant aviation authority, but also for every country and for the development of civil aviation in general.

“The BHDCA will continue to provide support and assistance to the airline, with the goal of further developing civil aviation in BIH and maintaining the achieved level of safety”, said Mr Travar.
