The eleventh session of the Statistics Division (STA/11) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was held via video conference from 4 to 8 April 2022. The session was attended by 160 participants from ICAO member states, as well as from other international organisations, and the participants were greeted by ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar Gómez at the beginning of the session. On behalf of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation, the meeting was attended by our Aviation Statistics Coordinator.
The goal of STA/11 was to reach consensus and formulate recommendations for guiding data and analysis development in civil aviation. The session discussed a wide range of matters, including data quality and reporting, as well as long-term air traffic forecasts following the COVID-19 pandemic. The Division's conclusions and recommendations will be submitted to the ICAO Council for consideration and subsequent adoption at the 41st session of the ICAO Assembly in 2022.
